Attempted distraction burglary on elderly woman

Police have issued a warning after what is believed to be an attempted distraction burglary at an elderly woman’s home this morning.

It happened between 10.30am and 10.45am in Albion Street, Crowland.

The men claimed they were looking for a dog and distracted the woman.

One is believed to have entered, but the men were disturbed and nothing was taken and they left the address.

The men were white, one aged about 20 and the other in his 40s. The younger male was wearing a woollen hat and carrying a white jacket. The older male had greying hair.

Anyone who knows anything in relation to this incident or a similar on should call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 127 of March 8.
