An art exhibition is being planned in Spalding to commemorate the Queen’s 90th birthday, which is on April 21.
Organisers Tulip Radio are asking businesses, traders, WI’s and anyone else interested to create a piece of artwork depicting a year of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.
These canvasses will be exhibited locally and will be free on collection. It is hoped the one deemed the best will be presented to the Queen.
You can paint, draw, do some craft work or knit, to create a montage of pictures of your allocated year. Those taking part will be allocated a year from 1952 – 2016.
Then they will need to depict an event that the Queen has attended, by using music, films or television programmes from that year, put their organisation onto the canvas and a flower of their choice (example below).
There is no age restriction. If you would like more information or to pick up a canvas, call Tulip Radio on 01775 712400 or email email@example.com
Deadline for the canvas is Friday, April 1.
