Two arrests after Market Deeping weekend of crime

Two men have been arrested after last weekend's criminal activity that caused havoc in and around Market Deeping.

John Harty (23), of no fixed address, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear at court.

Police had been called to an address on Lincoln Road in Deeping Gate last Saturday following a report of stolen property and subsequently arrested him.

Harty was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday to answer a charge of driving while disqualified.

Another man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs on Sunday in Mill Road, Maxey.

He has been released under investigation.

Four youths were spoken to and given advice regarding their behaviour around pupils at William Hildyard School in Market Deeping, following reports a phone had been taken from a member of staff on Friday.

Lincolnshire Police said they are still reviewing the circumstances of other incidents and are continuing to investigate.
