Five Holbeach arrests over catalytic converter thefts
Five men have been arrested in Holbeach on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles and one for going equipped to commit crime, and two vehicles have been seized.
The arrests follow a spate of theft and attempted thefts of catalytic converters in the Holbeach and Spalding areas over the last month.
In the early hours of this morning (Monday), officers were called to an address on Sluice Road, Holbeach. It was reported a catalytic converter had been stolen from a vehicle and the offenders had left the address.
During their inquiries, officers arrested five men – aged 25, two aged 27, 30 and 31-years-old, from the Holbeach and Spalding areas. They remain in custody.
Two cars – a green BMW estate and a grey Audi estate – have been seized. The investigation remains ongoing.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have information that will help with their investigation and anyone who has had a catalytic converter stolen in the area that may not have reported it, to contact them.
