Solicitors are making appointments for Will Aid’s Make a Will Month in November, a campaign that has so far raised £15million for nine good causes.
People making wills under the scheme give a suggested donation of £95, instead of paying the usual fee, and this helps charities including Age UK, Christian Aid and Save the Children.
Around one third of the people who die in the UK do so without a will – which can lead to stress and financial hardship for those left behind.
People who have made wills also need to need to review the document every three to five years to take account of changes, such as beneficiaries moving house.
Will Aid campaign manager Shirley Marshland said: “This is the perfect opportunity to have a solicitor draw up your will, protect your loved ones and give to charity at the same time.”
• Calthrops in Market Place, Spalding (01775 724381), and High Street, Holbeach (01406 422621), are taking part.
