People in Spalding urged to keep eyes peeled for lost Peregrine Falcon

People in Spalding are being urged to look out for a peregrine falcon which has gone missing.

The five-year-old male went missing from the Holbeach area on Friday but concerns have been raised as the bird still has jesses, which is a thin leather strap, attached to his legs.

The bird was last seen on Saturday in Weston and is believed to have flown over the Spalding area.

The falconer, who did not want to be named, has been searching since Friday for the bird.

He said: "If he had gone away without the jesses attached, I would have thought good luck to him.

"My concern is that the jesses and extender are attached."
