An appeal has gone out for local cat-lovers prepared to adopt or foster a cat over Christmas from Cross Counties Cat Rescue, which moved to Deeping St Nicholas to find the ‘cattery’ in its gardens unusable.

Owner Sara Ward who brought 12 cats with her from Nottingham last month, now has 18 living in the house and all her existing fosterers are full up, with a waiting list.

She said: “This means that there are more cats out in the freezing temperatures who have been dumped and left to die by their owners who we are not able to help. Anyone prepared to foster or adopt please contact me on 01775 630572.”

You can also help Cross Counties Cat Rescue by donating to their account at Animates Veterinary Clinic in Market Deeping to ensure that veterinary costs are kept as low as possible in order to rehome more cats and kittens.
