AN appeal has been issued by the organisers of the Whaplode Drove Wobble – the World Jelly Throwing Championships – they want the current world champions to come forward to defend their title on Sunday.
The event was held for the first time last year as part of the Whaplode Drove Village and Country Fair and the jelly-throwing and catching champs were brothers Nathan and Regan, who came from nowhere, swept the competition aside and disappeared into the crowd again.
Country fair organiser, Alan Pell, said: “Unfortunately we have no record of their surname and no contact details for them.
“They certainly showed everyone else how to do it last year, barely dropping any of their jelly and weighing in the current world record, 2.29kg.”
The youngsters, then aged just 12 and 11, beat nine other teams for the championship title.
Nathan and Regan can contact Alan on 01406 330865.
