Motorist is injured in Spalding stabbing incident




An appeal has been launched after a woman received a stab injury while in traffic.

Lincolnshire Police are asking for people come forward with information after the incident took place on Winsover Road in Spalding today (Saturday) at 4:10pm.

The victim was in a white Mazda near the level crossing at the junction with St Thomas' Road and had her arm out of the window.

Lincolnshire Police said in a statement: "There was one car in front of her vehicle and when the barrier began to lift a group of four teenage men cycled past with one stabbing her in the arm.

"It is suspected this was caused by something similar to a screwdriver due to the puncture nature of the wound.

"The group are described as white, dressed in dark clothing and wearing baseball caps. They left the scene by heading down Thomas Street and the victim has attended hospital."
