Appeal for help with litter-pick

Have your say

A MOULTON Seas End resident is on a mission to clean up the village and is hoping other people will support her efforts.

Marina Hill told Moulton Parish Council at its meeting on Monday that rubbish strewn around the streets is one of her biggest bugbears and offered to organise a litter-pick to tackle the problem.

Her offer was welcomed by chairman Andrew Woolf, who said he would help if she could drum up more support.

Mrs Hill said: “A lot of people seem to leave their refuse bags out from one week to the next and you end up with litter going everywhere.

“I hate it with a vengeance because a lot of it ends up in my garden.

“I want to do a litter-pick and I would be grateful of some help, but if no-one is willing I will do it on my own.”

Coun Woolf suggested Mrs Hill mentioned her idea to the village youth club, as they might be able to help, saying: “I can’t see why we can’t do the same thing as they do in Weston.

“They had a litter pick and collected a truckload of rubbish.”
