Families in Lutton once again got together on Saturday evening for the annual
‘Bugling of the (Lincolnshire) Sausage’ at The Jolly Crispin pub.

A sausage and mash supper and raffle raised money for the village hall.

Buglers Arthur and Maureen Male played The Lincolnshire Poacher and village resident Paul Harding read out a sausage-themed version of the Lord’s Prayer!

Swepstones of Holbeach provided the sausages, QV Foods of Holbeach Hurn the potatoes, and the Jolly Crispin cooked the food.

Organisers thanked licensees Ken and Nanette Neelya for hosting the event.

Lutton residents have been celebrating the Lincolnshire sausage at these events for nearly 20 years as their own version of the piping in of the haggis.
