Spalding and Holbeach firefighters along with Sutton Bridge Coastguard are udderly delighted to have rescued a cow




Emergency services rescued a cow.

Firefighters and HM Coastguard Sutton Bridge were called to help the animal which had become stuck in the area around Marsh Road, Gedney Drove End, just before 3.40pm yesterday (Tuesday, July 22).

Specialist firefighters from Spalding, Holbeach, Sleaford and Grantham attended.

A social media post from the fire service stated: "Crews used animal strops to release the cow, who to their udder delighted was uninjured #NotJustFires"

HM Coastguard supported firefighters in the rescue mission.

Members of Sutton Bridge Coastguard have been running a recruitment drive.
