Holbeach Primary Academy supported World Mental Health Day

Youngsters at two South Holland schools have been backing World Mental Health Day.

Children at Holbeach Primary Academy and Holbeach Bank Academy wore yellow on Friday last week to show their support.

This is the second year that the schools have been supporting the Young Minds Charity, which supports and empowers children.

Youngsters were asked to wear a yellow piece of clothing as part of their school uniform.

A school spokesman said: “We have had yellow T-shirts, socks, headbands and bright smiley faces all day!

“It has never been so important to support the mental wellbeing of our children. We have been carrying out activities across the day within classrooms to raise awareness around mental health and the wellbeing of children.

“This is a day that we now really value as part of our annual caring for each other and those around us.”
