Holbeach firefighters welcome 2430 Holbeach Air Cadets to station

Youngsters from a cadet unit were given a tour around a fire station and its engine.

Holbeach firefighters welcomed members of the town's 2430 Air Cadet unit to the station on Wednesday last week.

During the visit youngsters learned more about Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue along with getting fire safety advices.

Youngsters were also shown the equipment available on a frontline appliance.

The evening was ended with an exercise devised by two of the firefighters.

A station spokesman said: "The exercise was completed with enthusiasm by the youngsters.

"Cadets and staff praised the time given by the Holbeach Firefighters for arranging the visit."

Holbeach Air Cadets meet on a Wednesday and Friday evenings at their Church Street building from 7pm.
