An Army Cadet Force (ACF) adult volunteer has told how being a part of the youth organisation has allowed her to spend quality time with her daughter.

Lieutenant Clare Wookey (44) volunteers with
Lincolnshire ACF and has spent many fulfilling
evenings and weekends training with her daughter Kayleigh Adams in the same detachment.

The Market Deeping mum explained: “I joined the ACF in 2008 and time has flown by. Being in the ACF is a fantastic way to spend time as a mother and daughter.

In recent times they have been able to spend additional time together training for Kayleigh’s triathlon events. In 2014, Kayleigh finished ninth in the U20 category at the World Championship in Canada, securing a place for the World Championship for Sprint Triathlon in Chicago this year.
