MOULTON Chapel Primary School pupil Abigail Taylor scooped a £200 prize for her school in a Co-op Fairtrade Challenge competition by designing her own special tea towel.
Abigail’s winning design will go into print and be sold at Lincolnshire Co-operative outlets as part of its 150th birthday celebrations.
As well as winning cash for her school, Abigail (11) received a certificate, cinema tickets and ten tea towels featuring her design.
She was one of five winners in a competition entered by more than 1,000 children.
Lincolnshire Co-operative membership and community manager Sam Turner said: “As well as being a fun project, the contest got pupils learning about Fairtrade and how it gives producers in poorer countries a better deal.”
