A17 Cross Keys Bridge works: Countdown begins to major project at Sutton Bridge

There is just a week to go now until major roadworks begin on the A17 at the Cross Keys Bridge at Sutton Bridge.

It is planned that traffic will be reduced to a single lane over the bridge from Monday, September 30, during the £100,000 resurfacing and refurbishment work.

The route that crosses the Victorian swing bridge is the only direct link between Lincolnshire and Norfolk.

Work is set to begin at the Cross Keys Bridge - the gateway to Lincolnshire and Norfolk, on Monday, September 30.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire County Council told us earlier this month that no full closures are planned and the work is expected to last around four weeks - dependent on weather conditions.

The bridge will also remain operational for marine traffic.
