SPALDING Johnson Hospital League of Friends is celebrating after their summer fayre on Saturday raised around £800.
Held in a new venue – the garden at the back of the hospital – the highly popular fixture drew a big mix of supporters, with organisations and individuals lending a hand by manning a wide variety of stalls and traditional games.
Hospital staff gave their time freely too and they had a very popular car wash.
League of Friends treasurer Elisabeth Britten said: “It was a real garden party atmosphere. It was a lovely, social occasion and very well supported.”
Visitors included South Holland and The Deepings MP John Hayes and the chairman of South Holland District Council, Coun Mick Seymour, and his wife, Pauline.
