Residents who made use of a green waste collection in Bourne and the Deepings last year have been urged to sign up again after a decision was made to keep the charge the same.
South Kesteven District Council is to charge £25 for a single wheelie bin and £10 for additional bins after the success of the scheme last year.
Emails have been sent out to more than 13,000 people who used the garden waste collection service last year, informing them how they can sign up to benefit again in 2013.
Within a few days more than 4,500 had done so, and by the end of February that had risen to 10,000.
The deadline to join the 2013 scheme is March 31.
The council’s portfolio holder for green healthy and arts, Coun John Smith said: “As a result of the success of last year’s green waste charging scheme, the council is holding its £25 annual charge.
“We are confident our residents value this service and hope that they continue to support it for 2013/14.”
