Leading fresh prepared foods manufacturer Bakkavor has raised £15,000 for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance following this year’s highly successful ‘Party in the Park’ event to celebrate the company’s 30th birthday.

Bakkavor’s Fun Weekend was held over a weekend in July at Springfields Events Centre in Spalding, and was attended by over 5,000 employees and their families. Saturday’s festivities included a Party in the Park, which was open to members of the public, with top tribute acts performing. The night closed with an impressive firework display.

Ticket sales from the event raised £7,500, which was then matched by the Bakkavor’s Board to make a grand total of £15,000.

Ágúst Gudmundsson, CEO of Bakkavor, said: “We are delighted to show our continued support for the local community. “This donation was made possible by the fantastic fundraising efforts of our
employees and the continued support from our local community.”
