Fifty youngsters took to the stage at Deeping St James Linchfield Primary School 25 years ago.
The reception production was performed to four packed audiences of parents and followed Mary Mary Quite Contrary on a walk along the riverbank.
Teacher Cherylle Parson said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed it. I think we have got some budding stars in school.”
Two primary schools teamed up in 1997 to offer an after-school netball club for pupils.
After only one session together, youngsters from Moulton Chapel and Cowbit Primary School competed in an inter-school competition as part of the same team.
Club organiser Val Day said: “Last year I thought it was a pity the girls didn’t have a netball court when other kids did.”
