Spalding theatre group Act II throw open doors and talented student chefs impress in 2011
Spalding theatre group Act II threw open the doors at their open day ten years ago.
They had recently moved into their new premises at Clay Lake, and wanted to show town residents what they were all about.
More than 100 people turned up to show their support and to learn a little more.
Director Karl Gernert said: “It went very well. Lots of people came along to see our new venue.
“It’s about four times bigger than than where we were before in Gore Lane, and the parking is much better.”
Talented students from Donington’s Thomas Cowley High School delighted judges with their recipes at a Rotary Young Chef competition in 2011.
Sophie Ash was the winner after serving up a delightful goat’s cheese and tomato tart, which she followed with a lemon and ginger cheesecake.
Holly Arnold’s fish pie and Jessica Tolson’s salmon noodles were second.
