Success in maths challenge for Spalding students

Spalding High School Upper School and Sixth Form students achieved a “magnificent result” in the Senior Mathematics Challenge 2016.

Students achieved one Gold, 22 silver and 43 Bronze certificates.

The school achieve a total of 66 certificates out of 98 entries, the best result ever. Top mark overall was Oli Warren with 93, which gains him the Gold Certificate and qualification for the next round. Joint second were Katie Ridlington and Jemima Wakefield, both on 82.

The challenge is aimed at Sixth form students, but Year 10 and 11 are able to sign up on a voluntary basis. Of these 34 students ten Silver and 15 Bronze certificates were achieved.
