Sixty Spalding Grammar School students ran a marathon to raise charity funds back in 1997.

The youngsters took on the Seabank Marathon, which treks from Boston to Skegness.

Teacher Dave Prebble said it was hoped kids had raised up to £2,500, which was to be split between the likes of Leukaemia Research, animal welfare charities and a new rugby scrummage machine.
