Hundreds of entrants from incredible businesses across South Holland had been whittled down to a select group of finalists in time for the South Holland Business Awards Dinner, which took place last Thursday.

South Holland’s business community had a lot to celebrate this year and the awards were a great opportunity for local companies to proudly tell the public about the positive role they play in society.

These were the fourth annual awards hosted by South Holland and District Area Chamber of Commerce to recognise and reward outstanding businesses in South Holland. The black tie event attracted in excess of 200 people to Springfields Events Centre for an evening that included a delicious three-course dinner as well as live music and excellent entertainment.

Awards ranged from the Apprentice of the Year, which yielded four winners in the most hotly contested category of the night, to the coveted Customer Care Award – well done to the Woodlands Hotel. There was also a distinct category recognising new and smaller-sized businesses, this year won by Pet to Vet.

There was a wonderful tribute paid to Anne Savage, Group Technical Director from Bakkavor, for all her hard work and dedication to the industry.

We are deeply honoured to have received the Supporting the Community Award, a category focusing on the contribution of a business to the people in their local area. We are delighted to have won this award against very stiff competition. It’s a great boost for the Tulip Radio team and testimony to the dedicated effort of our volunteers, whose generosity with their time and talents makes our service possible. Congratulations to the winners of all seven categories!
