Members of Spalding Indoor Bowls Club showed their big hearts as well as their skill on the green at the annual fundraising event in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

This year’s all-day event, in which 72 bowlers play triple matches of seven ends or one hour, whichever comes sooner, raised a magnificent total of £641 for the charity.

The rinks were supplied free of charge by Castle Sports Complex operating company 1Life as its donation to the charity, equating to £288.

Members also donated more than 90 raffle prizes and bought tickets, which raised £353, including three donations.

The money raised was presented to BHF’s Helena Mair (above left) by committee members T Cronin, M Belding and J Horner.
