Have your say

Standing at the top of The Orbit in London is no time to discover you have a fear of heights.

But that’s what may happen to a team of Spalding and Market Deeping accountants when they take on a daredevil challenge.

A total of nine colleagues from accountancy firm Moore Thompson are planning to abseil more than 250 feet down the tower.

They are testing their nerves to raise money for the Moore Thompson Charitable Fund CIO, which this year is supporting LIVES and Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.

Taking the nerve-wracking descent will be Market Deeping Moore Thompson accountant Claire Abbott, Kirsty Holmes from Moore Thompson’s Financial Services firm, plus Hollie Abbott, Julie Green, Hannah Watkins, James Walsham, Jordon Wingert, Emma Wilson and Laura Grimer, all from Moore Thompson’s Spalding office.

The challenge was organised by two of the fund’s trustees, Emma and Laura.

If they can overcome their fear, the top of The Orbit will offer incredible views of London, though the team has admitted they are more likely to have their eyes closed.
