LEARN MORENursing home Saga Homecare invited local choir South Holland Sings to run a community sing-along at Nene Court ten years ago this week.
The event, run as part of National Dementia Awareness week, saw 50 or so carers, Saga clients and local residents sing traditional tunes such as ‘Daisy Daisy’, along with more modern songs like ‘Living Doll’.
A stall at the market selling cakes generously baked by the carers raised £300 for the Alzheimer’s Society. Care assessor Elizabeth Stott was delighted by the ‘lovely sing along, as well as tea and cakes’.
