Spalding St John Baptist CE School win Heartshield Award and Long Sutton County Primary School gets new library in 1997

Health-conscious pupils at Spalding St John Baptist CE School scooped a prestigious prize 25 years ago.

The youngsters won the Heartshield Award following a year learning about healthy eating, smoking, stress and exercise.

Teacher Lynne O’Mara said everyone was very pleased their hard work had been commended.
