Hurst Children’s Theatre Group performs a panto every year – they are currently working towards three performances in Spalding on January 20 and 21.

The group also puts on a summer show at the Bourne Academy.

Producer Bryony Hurst says numbers in the group are deliberately kept down so that she can know the children and parents individually.

She says: “I loved being on stage as a child and I want other children to have that opportunity. I think performing gives these kids a tremendous boost of self-confidence and self-belief.”

Shows are supported by Eva Patrick and Gill Renshaw, who look after costumes and props, as well as a band made up of Mike Hurst and local musician Ray Fenwick.
