NOSTALGIA: Bernard grows record-breaking petunia in 1994

Record-breaking gardener Bernard Lavery looked set to enter the Guinness Book of Records again - this time with his 16ft petunia.

Bernard, who had 14 world records, beat the previous record for the plant by three feet.

He is pictured here (front) with Spalding firemen Kevin Baker, Paul Gale, Richard Friend, Terry Day, Sean Taylor and station officer Kim Seston, helping him show off his world beater.
