NOSTALGIA: Holbeach youngsters and Surfleet Seas End pupils 25 years ago

Young people from Holbeach Youth Centre planted bulbs in half barrels to grow outside the Boston Road centre 25 years ago.

The bulbs were given out as part of the Baytree Nurseries/Lincolnshire Free Press spring bulb giveaway.

The youngsters were planning to replace the daffodils with summer bedding plants once they had flowered. Pictured are, from left: Nick Reeve (16), Danny English (13), Stephen Ringer (14), Gary Walker (13) and Gavin Goddard (13).

Surfleet Seas End Primary School pupils had great fun planting flower bulbs 25 years ago.

There would be blooms in tubs and beds in front of the school, and also in their wildlife gardens, once the bulbs had bloomed.

The planting was also part of the Baytree Nurseries/Lincolnshire Free Press bulb giveaway.
