Improvement in GCSE results at Gleed earns praise

A Spalding secondary school was praised by the Government after improving GCSE results placed it in the top two per cent nationally.

Gleed Boys' School headteacher Geoff Cowley was particularly thrilled that some pupils gained English GCSEs early, including three boys from whom English was their second language.

Mr Cowley also received a letter of recognition from Jim Knight, Minister of State for Schools and Learning, which commended the school for sustained improvement in GCSE results.
