Fitkidz programme to help out children

A scheme to encourage healthy habits among children was hailed a great success.

Fitkidz was a combination of fast-paced exercise and education delivered by South Holland District Council and the former Fitness Company in Spalding.

The ten-week programme of twice-weekly sessions was aimed at eight- to 13-year-olds with a high Body Mass Index (BMI) and aimed to tackle South Holland's poor health and fitness record.
