Spalding Primary pupils learn about evils of smoking in 1994

Spalding youngsters were determined to kick the butt in a bid to get the non-smoking message across to their schoolpals.

In the fortnight leading up to National Non-Smoking Day, children at Spalding (GM) Primary School learned about the effect smoking can have on your health.

Teacher Carol Lawrie said the school nurse had shown the children videos and tried to discourage children from taking up the habit.
