Big bingo prize win for Margaret in 1994

Winning thousands of pounds at bingo couldn't have come at a better time for a Sutton Bridge mum.

Margaret Daubney, of Nene Meadows, had been redundant three weeks previously, so winning half the national £50,000 prize came as a very welcome surprise.

Margaret was playing at Empire Bingo Club in Wisbech and also won the regional prize of £2.858.92 for calling house.

She planned to invest it on some small treats for her husband, six children, her step-son and three grandchildren.
