Baston nature visit in 1995

Children at Baston’s Kirkstone House School found themselves knee deep in nature during a visit to the school’s environmental centre.

The centre covered 60 acres of natural woodland and flooded sand and gravel pits of various sizes which support rare plant life.

Among activities carried out were pond dipping.
