The store's Kayleigh Ayre tells us: "Buttons can be used for much more than just clothing and we are going to show you the perfect craft for Valentine's Day.

You will need: A glue gun, canvas (or card), a selection of buttons.

Step 1: You'll need a glue gun, some canvas or card and a selection of buttons.

"We have used vintage buttons in pearly whites and pinks to create our heart picture.

First of all, lay out the buttons on the canvas to achieve your desired basic shape.

Once you are happy with the layout you can begin to glue each one into place.

Once the outline is secured, then you can have fun filling in the shape with your choice of beautiful buttons.

When the glue is dry, your masterpiece is ready to display or give as a gift.

The possibilities are endless with button art. You can make greetings cards, embellish bookends, lampshades and more."
