Charities that support the homeless in South Holland have been given a boost.

Framework works with people in Spalding and Holbeach in its wider role of helping 11,000 people a year in the region to live ‘full and independent lives in their communities’.

P3 helps rough sleepers and offers a support service to those who face housing issues, working county-wide to change lives for the better .

The two charities, together with The Nomad Trust in Lincoln, have received £290,000 of support thanks to a three-month fundraising campaign by Lincolnshire Co-op.

A donation was made every time a member shopped in a Lincolnshire Co-op outlet using their dividend card, from the carrier bag charge, as well as staff fundraising.

Food and groceries to the value of £143,000 was donated to the charities.

Shoppers also contributed 97 boxes of toiletries.
