Holbeach kids in fire station visit and Spalding students in industry day in 1996

Children from Rainbow Pre-School in Holbeach had a trip to Long Sutton fire station 25 years ago this week.

The three to four-year-olds had a fantastic time seeing how a fire engine works, using the hoses and trying on helmets.

Students from Sir John Gleed Technology School in Spalding took part in their annual industry day 25 years ago.

Students aged 13 and 14 visited six local firms to get an insight in to how they operate.
