LOOKING BACK: Cadets in fine cross-country form

Members of 1406 (Spalding) Squadron Air Training Corps more than earned their wings when they took almost all of the honours at a cross-country competition.

Combined results from the boys and girls were enough to lift the overall championship in the Beds and Cambs Wing cross-country competition at Bassingbourn Barracks, near Royston, Herts.

The oldest age groups won both boys and girls events - and with junior and youth team results added, the boys secured the overall boys' trophy and the girls finished second overall.
