WE are also regular users of the recycling centre and have no easy answer to the queuing problem on West Mash Road; even before the change in opening times.
However, the comments made by your reader are not helpful or in our opinion true. We have always found the work force helpful and cheerful when carrying out their work.
It is probably not their job to take our rubbish from out of our car and place it in the skips. Their job is to maintain the site for our use.
We have always been directed to the correct container and if it is a small item it is often taken from us and taken to the correct location.
When disposing of a large amount a member of the staff is often emptying the boot of our car before I’m out of the driver’s seat; in order to keep the flow of traffic on the move.
They do a wonderful job and it is not their fault that at times, probably due to a good spell in the weather, impatient and inconsiderate drivers cannot wait in slow moving traffic.
