Grow magnificent roses in June and you could scoop a prize at Baytree Garden Centre
The staff at Baytree Garden Centre are calling on all budding rose growers to enter into their rose week, part of the National Rose Festival.
The festival week will run from June 23 to July 1, after columnist and broadcaster Peter Seabrook, a name synonymous with all things roses, had the idea to create the week to celebrate the beautiful flower.
Reinhard Biehler has been growing roses at Baytree for over 50 years and he will have the unenviable task of judging the entries.
There are various classes with prizes up for grabs and the display that is judged 'Best in Show', will win £50 worth of Baytree vouchers, and be entered into the overall national competition for the chance to win £1000.
To enter bring along your best bloom or blooms to the garden centre at Weston on Saturday, June 23, in a vase of your choice for judging. The winners will be announced the next day.
The competition is completely free to enter and Baytree looks forward to receiving hundreds of entries.
Across the opening weekend the garden centre will have face painting and a bouncy castle, its very own Rose
Queen and 20% off all roses and 10% off all rose related garden sundries.
