The singer chosen to launch this year’s Spalding Beer and Music Festival will be appearing locally this weekend for the only time before the event at the end of May.

Sarah O’Brien and her band Miss O’Brien’s Boys play at The Lincolnshire Poacher, Spalding, this Saturday (March 4) from 9pm, playing a mix of covers from Adele to Blondie.

The classically-trained singer, who has performed in the UK and Europe, said: “I am really excited about singing locally again and what an honour to be asked to open the second Spalding Beer and Music Festival. We haven’t played at The Lincolnshire Poacher or in Spalding for some time now so it will be great to see some familiar faces and I can let my hair down a bit.”
