It’s toy making time in Santa’s workshop when Badapple Theatre Company present The Elves and the Carpenter at Swineshead Village Hall on Thursday (6.30pm).
Mrs Claus is getting worried though: it may be toy making time, but the elves have left the building.
In fact they haven’t been seen since last Christmas when they packed their cases and headed off to their other jobs around the globe.
This feel-good Christmas tale – with puppets, songs and comic mayhem – is the perfect build up to the Christmas season.
In the production a whirlwind journey ensues for Mrs Claus, who finds the most mischievous of the elves hiding among the up-cycling at Mrs Carpenter’s shop.
Even when they’ve been located, their attempt to help complete the special Christmas order does not work as well as had been hoped – can Mrs Claus wrestle victory from the claws of defeat and get the elves to the Pole on time?
Find out on Thursday. Tickets cost £8.50 for adults and £6.50 for concessions and under 16s or £23 for a family ticket from 01205 821877.
