The festive season is now racing towards us, and here at the South Holland Centre that means panto, parties and presents!
With over 2,000 local children already booked for one of the schools’ performances of Cinderella, now is the time that the family bookings gather pace as everyone starts firming up plans for the festive season. Some panto people have already made a helpful visit to the Centre to assist with phone calls!
Cinderella starts its silver-slippered run on December 10 so rehearsals are already well under way.
The show stars great professional musical theatre singers, with plenty of comedy provided by Luke Glover as Buttons, and not forgetting Cinderella’s Ugly Sisters (boo, hiss). There are some real wow-factor effects too – but we’re keeping tight-lipped about these just for the moment!
Meanwhile, if you’ve still not decided where to hold your Christmas ‘do’, you may like to know that there are still a few spaces available at our party on Saturday, December 20. Tickets are £26 for a seasonal carvery and dessert - after which you can dance it all off to some funky disco diva sounds.
Looking ahead to the New Year and there are many 2015 events already in the diary, including the usual scintillating mix of live music gigs, comedy, children’s shows and theatre (live and satellite screened). If you want tickets for Claire Martin, Ruby Turner, or Lee Nelson – do not delay too long!
Finally, we are here to help those with that age-old Christmas present list dilemma. Why not join the many people who buy tickets or gift vouchers for the film, theatre or music lovers in their lives?
Readers will not be surprised to hear that we believe a trip to see a show or a great film is a real tonic during the dark days of winter. There is lots of sparkle and fun on offer at the Centre over the next few weeks – come in for a sprinkling!
