NOT a speck of mud marred South Holland’s top music festival which played to a great crowd in perfect weather on Sunday.
More than 2,000 festival-goers flowed through the gates of Carter’s Park, Holbeach, raising an estimated £5,000 clear profit for Holbeach United and other local charities.
Everything went without a hitch inside the security fence, manned by the event’s private security force, and music from 14 local bands organised by Elliot Watson offered something for everyone to enjoy.
The 11th Music in the Park attracted 150 more music-lovers than last year’s event, its all-time best.
Football club chairman Dave Dougill said: “It was a fantastic day – sunny and not too hot, and we had a great crowd.
“Some stayed from 1pm until the music stopped at 9pm, some flowed in and out.”
