A Spalding women’s choir has plenty to sing about after marking their first birthday together.

Drinks and cake were in supply for members of A Handful of Harmonies which practices weekly at Bromley Memorial Hall in Pode Hole.

The group is made up of about 30 members who are part of a network of about 300 singers in seven different locations, including Bourne, Langtoft and Market Deeping.

Pat Weavers from the Spalding group, said: “We bought some wine and non-alcoholic drink to celebrate and presented a cake to music director Andrew Clingo, along with a commemorative plate to thank him for all his efforts over the year.

“We’re a great bunch of ladies with a fantastic music director who helps us push our boundaries.” Photo: SG310513-225NG.
