A CHEQUE for £1,527 raised at a charity comedy evening has been presented to the NSPCC.

The comedy evening at the Castle Sports Complex in Spalding saw an audience of about 200 people entertained by the likes of Roy Chubby Brown, Jed Stone and Johnny Catts.

Organiser Karl Gedney, director of Sunseeker UK, thanked everyone for attending the evening and helping the company to raise the money for charity.

The cheque was received by Jenni Cowlishaw on behalf of the NSPCC.
