Eight groups from South Holland and Boston, including Explosion from Long Sutton Youth Club and The Goz Funk based at St Peter and St Paul’s Church Hall, Gosberton, competed in the regional semi-final in front of a 250-strong audience and a panel of judges.

Kimberly Chapman, from Sutton Bridge and dance tutor for The Elite and Explosion, said: “Most of the kids had never done street dance before so I was giving them some of my knowledge and experience from performing in musicals London’s West End.

“They were quick learners and it was amazing to see them become one big, happy family.

“It was also good to give something back to the area I was born in and where all my family are from as well.”
